1. Raden Wijaya Leadership

The founder of Majapahit Empire is Raden Wijaya, Lembu Tal’s son, and grand son of Mahisa Cempaka. After Singosari Empire end, Raden Wijaya becomes functional of Jayakatwang with help from Adipati Banyak Wide, regent of Madura. Because his loyalty to Jayakatwang, he earn prize jungle in the Tarik village.

One day, soldiers of china Caesar come to ask for accredit of dominance of China Empire over Singosari. But Singosari Empire was end, so, this chance is taken by Raden Wijaya
to attack Jayakatwang. Raden Wijaya beating out soldiers of China Caesar so Soldiers of china Caesar attack Kediri Empire. When Kediri Empire defeat, China soldier attacked by Raden Wijaya, so China soldiers back to their country and Raden Wijaya become a winner.

After Raden Wijaya become King, He has titled Sri Kertarajasa Jayawardhana. For consolidated his position as King, four daughter of Kertanegara, those are Gayatri and her sister, become wife of Raden Wijaya. Friend of Raden Wijaya that help Raden Wijaya become Mahapatih In the Majapahit Empire. Ranggalawe become regent of Tuban.

Other than Gayatri, Raden Wijaya also take wife from Melayu that coming along in the Pamalayu Expedition, and has son Jayanegara. At year 1309, Raden Wijaya dead, and substituted by his son, Jayanegara.

2. Jayanegara Leadership

After become king, Jayanegara has titled Sri Jayanegara leading Majapahit Empire form year 1309 until 1328. At the period of Jayanegara Leadership, there are many coup d’état, because, Jayanegara reputed as foreign born. The leader of coup d’état in the big part is friend of his father, those are, Sora, Nambi, Juru Demung, Gajah biri, Ronggolawe, Semi, and the biggest and dangerous coup d’état is Kuti. From Jayanegara Leadership appeared Gajah Mada. At year 1328, Jayanegara dead, killed by his medician, that’s Tancha. Jayanegara hasn’t child, so the leader of Majapahit Empire is Gayatri. Because Gayatri can’t lead Majapahit Empire, this duties is given to her daughter, Tri Buana Tungga Dewi.

3. Tri Buana Leadership

Tri Buana leading Majapahit Empire as name her mother, Gayatri, and she helped by her husband, Kertawardhana. In period of Tri Buana Leadership, arising coup d’état from Sadeng. Because effort of Gajah Mada, Sadeng coup d’état can be defeated. Because his efforts, Gajah Mada become Mahapatih. At investiture Gajah Mada he say a promise that known as “Sumpah Palapa”. The content of it’s promise are Gajah Mada wont be disporting before all Nusantara unite under Majapahit leadership. In his effort to uniting Nusantara, He helped by Adityawarman.

The first that attacked by Gajah Mada is Bali, then Bali become Majapahit Territory. At year 1350 AD, Gayatri dead, and Tribuana can’t lead Majapahit Empire. As her substitute, his son that still 16 years old , Hayam Wuruk become king of Majapahit.

4. Hayam Wuruk Leadership

After Hayam Wuruk become king, he has titled Rajasanegara. As his Patih is Gajah Mada. Hayam Wuruk is the greatest King in the Majapahit Empire. In Hayam Wuruk Leadership, Gajah Mada continue his effort to uniting all Nusantara. Sumpah Palapa is done, Majapahit can uniting all Nusantara under it’s leadership. The very difficult and last unification is Sunda Land(Pajajaran)

The unification of Pajajaran is known as Bubat. Majapahit become friend with neighbor country that’s called Mitreka Satata. For protect the empire that very large, Majapahit built strong marine under Empu Nala. In the Law range, Gajah Mada Write law book that’s called Kutaramanawa. Majapahit become big empire because

a. The located of Majapahit is strategic in the two ways of commerce

b. There isn’t competitive with another empire

c. It’s located on the Brantas Riverside, good for commerce

At year 1346 AD Gajah Mada die, then year 1389 AD Hayam Wuruk also die. After both leader of Makapahit dead, Majapahit start to losing ground. He substituted by his daughter, Kusumawardhani, but the other children of Hayam Wuruk feel more entitled to become Majapahit King. So, happen civil war that’s called Paregreg. Another king after Kusumawardhani are Suhita, Kertawijaya, Hyang Purwawisesa, Bhre Pandan Salas, and Bhre Kertabumi.

Factor that influenced Losing Ground of Majapahit Empire are

a. After Gajah Mada dead, there isn’t good substitute that can protect territory of Majapahit Empire

b. The civil war that take long time make Majapahit Empire become weak

c. The losing ground of economic range make many territory try to free

d. The government system that gives autonomy to every region make many territory try to free
